ITMA (Internationale Textilmaschinen Ausstellung) is one of the most influential and largest international exhibitions for the textile and clothing industry, as well as a meeting place for the world’s leading clothing manufacturers and brand owners.
The first exhibition was opened by CEMATEX in the middle of the 20th century in the French city of Lille and since then has been held with great success every four years in various European and Asian locations. In 2023 it will be held in Milan.

The range of presentation products is quite wide. Among them you can find not only equipment for various fabric processing technologies, but also:
- waste processing equipment;
- production design software;
- transport, storage and packaging equipment;
- installations for digital printing;
- machines for washing, drying and dyeing fabrics.
- The main goal is to provide an advanced platform for the textile and clothing industry and to promote the development of the mechanical engineering of the CEMATEX member associations.
Overall, ITMA went well for us. Everything turned out even better than we expected. The quality of visitors turned out to be very high, although we did not have many of them. We had a large number of negotiations, which went against the negative sentiment in the market.

What should we expect from ITMA 2023?
According to the organizers’ plans, ITMA 2023 at Fiera Milano RHO will be an even more exciting event than before. The main areas for exhibitors in 2023 will be:
- creation and use of environmentally friendly materials;
- innovative technologies in the processing of fabrics;
- developments in robotics and artificial intelligence to automate production processes and minimize the impact on ecosystems;
- creation of competitive advantage within the framework of sustainable development.
- Particular attention will be paid to industry 4.0, automation and the digital future.
The ITMA Sustainable Innovation Award will also be organized as part of the event. It will recognize the best manufacturers of textiles and clothing, as well as students, undergraduates and employees from research organizations.

In recent years, each ITMA exhibition covers about 200,000 square meters of exhibition space and attracts more than 1,500 exhibitors and 100,000 visitors from all over the world. Therefore, it can safely be called the most anticipated exhibition of the textile and clothing industry in the world.
